WAIT......

There was one thing I used to struggle with for a long time - the "W" word -Waiting. How do you respond to waiting? In what aspect of your life is waiting most difficult for you right now? During the spring season we wait for the first sign of green, the first flower, and the first fruits. In life we wait for the right moment, the right time, the right mate, the right opportunity. Did you know that even after the planning and implementation there is a WAIT. If you are going through any change, what you do during the "WAIT" stage determines HOW quickly you get to your goal. This time is just as important as the planning and you would benefit from maximizing the potential of this time.

Once you have done everything you're supposed to do. The only thing left to do is wait. Not everything is instantaneous. In fact most things are not. Yet what you do while you're waiting will determine if you get your answer any faster. I wish I could tell you your business will bring in $1000 on the first day but I'll be lying to you. I wish I could tell you that you'll make as much as you did on your former job the first week, but I'll be lying to you. So here is how you wait: with Confidence, a right Attitude and Discipline.

  • Confidence - While waiting for your dream to become a reality maintain a quiet, humble assurance. Use this waiting period to develop your faith in your ability to succeed. More importantly develop your faith in the ONE who gave you the ability and the dream. HE alone has the blueprint for your success and if you don't know it, you'll lose confidence. You've laid the foundation through planning and implementation so don't allow the "What If's" to steal your confidence.
  • Attitude - Cultivate an attitude of expectancy. Continue to meditate (contemplate quietly on the vision of success ) at least twice a day. It is a Divine principle for success which means - it does not fail. Be careful with your words. Your words are an open window to your thoughts and feelings. It gives others the opportunity to see what you're thinking and feeling. If you're not careful your words will prolong your waiting phase (unnecessarily).
  • Discipline - In a word -Self Control. While you're waiting you may be tempted to freak out or throw your hands up in the air and give up. This is the time to restrict the negative thoughts (and their resulting actions). It may be time to deliberately remove yourself from negative people and influences. Surround yourself with resources and people that will inspire you and cultivate the mindset and behavior to help you succeed.
